2. What data we collect

His Ledger is designed with your privacy as the top priority. The app operates as follows:

• Tracking data — All relationship tracking data you log in the app (events, dates, notes) is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• App settings — Your preferences (theme, categories, notifications) are stored locally on your device.
• No account required — His Ledger does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

3. Subscription and payments

His Ledger offers an optional premium subscription. Payments are processed through:

• Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) — governed by their respective privacy policies
• RevenueCat — we use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous app usage data and subscription information. You can view RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy

We do not store your payment details. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google.

4. Partner offers

The app includes a Partner Offers section with links to third party websites (such as Interflora, Moonpig, and Lovehoney). When you click these links:

• You will be taken to the partner's website in your browser
• The partner's own privacy policy applies once you leave our app
• We may receive a commission if you make a purchase — this does not affect the price you pay
• We do not share any of your personal data with these partners

5. Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, His Ledger will send you discreet reminders about important dates and relationship prompts. These notifications are generated locally on your device and do not transmit personal data. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

6. Analytics

His Ledger does not use any third party analytics tools. We do not track how you use the app, what you log, or any behavioural data.

7. Data security

All data stored by His Ledger remains on your device and is subject to your device's own security measures. We recommend using the PIN or Face ID lock feature available in Premium to add an additional layer of protection.

8. Children's privacy

His Ledger is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us at hello@hisledger.com.

9. Your rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by uninstalling His Ledger from your device. If you are based in the UK or EU, you also have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold. As we hold no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to provide or delete beyond what is already on your device.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
